WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR A T.E.A.C.H. SCHOLARSHIP?
Early childhood professionals working directly with young children, or those who supervise these caregivers/teachers or own a program offering care and teaching to young children, who also meet the following:
Once you apply, you are put on a waiting list until your application is processed in full. When a spot is open that you are eligible for, you may begin your scholarship journey as soon as your contract is signed and received in our office.

Why sponsor a T.E.A.C.H. scholarship recipient:
Employers who sponsor scholarships are key to staff members successfully accomplishing credits toward a college degree. We couldn't run our program without you!
We currently partner with these Institutions of Higher Education for our scholarship recipients to attend. Click on each one to learn more about their Early Childhood Associate Degree Programs :
Salt Lake Community College* - Associate Degree
Weber State University* - Associate & Bachelor's Degrees
Dixie State University* - Associate Degree
University of Utah - Bachelor's Degree
Southern Utah University - Associate & Bachelor's Degree
*Online degree programs available that allow participants to earn college credit from anywhere in the state! Other institutions will have online class options as well but may not be fully online.

T.E.A.C.H. offers financial support to pay for classes, books, and travel as well as paid release time from work.
T.E.A.C.H. makes it possible for teachers to gain necessary education about child development and early learning. Teachers can put their new knowledge and skills to work in the classroom immediately!
T.E.A.C.H. rewards teachers with a bonus upon completion of each contract, encourages employers to increase pay for employees who have completed more education, and works to get higher compensation and greater respect for early childhood professionals through advocacy efforts.
T.E.A.C.H. expects scholars to commit themselves to continued work through the programs sponsoring their scholarships.
Our T.E.A.C.H. Counselor will support the overall success of each scholar through individual outreach, cheerleading, mentoring, and encouragement through the education process.
