T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Utah is a research based comprehensive strategy to educate & retain early childhood practitioners, positively impacting outcomes for the children in their care. T.E.A.C.H. is a proven effective strategy through its use of four key elements: Scholarship, Education, Compensation, & Commitment
T.E.A.C.H offers financial support to pay for classes, books, and travel as well as paid release time from work.
T.E.A.C.H makes it possible for teachers to gain necessary education about child development and early learning. Teachers can put their new knowledge and skills to work in the classroom immediately!
T.E.A.C.H rewards teachers with a bonus upon completion of each contract, encourages employers to increase pay for employees who have completed more education, and works to get higher compensation and greater respect for early childhood professionals through advocacy efforts.
T.E.A.C.H. expects scholars to commit themselves to continued work through the programs sponsoring their scholarships.
Our T.E.A.C.H. Counselor will support the overall success of each scholar through individual outreach, cheerleading, mentoring, and encouragement through the education process.
Whether you are the owner or director of a child care program (or both), it is important for you to know your role as a SPONSOR of a T.E.A.C.H. Scholarship recipient.
Once you apply, you are put on a waiting list until your application is processed in full. When a spot is open that you are eligible for, you may begin your scholarship journey as soon as your contract is signed and received in our office.
We currently partner with three Institutions of Higher Education for our scholarship recipients to attend. Click on each one to learn more about their Early Childhood Associate Degree Programs :
